Your B&B in the Bregenzerwald

Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel. What happens next is entirely up to you: put on your hiking boots, hop on your bike, explore the region – or simply stay at the Quellengarten and go for a swim.

As a Bed & Breakfast, we deliberately keep things flexible and do not offer half board. There is a snack vending machine for those little in-between cravings. For lunch and dinner, you’ll find plenty of great restaurants and traditional inns in Lingenau and the surrounding area.

Don’t forget your swimsuit! Our 25-metre indoor pool is perfect for swimming a few serious laps – or taking things a little easier. The water temperature is a constant 29.8°C, and there is a separate pool for children.

From spring to autumn, our heated outdoor pool adds bubble loungers, a whirlpool corner and a large lawn for relaxing outside.

Lingenau is located in the Bregenzerwald in Austria’s westernmost province, Vorarlberg. It’s a great home base if you want to explore more than just one village during your holiday.

• Memmingen Airport (FMM): a convenient airport for travelling to the Bregenzerwald

• Munich Airport (MUC): approx. 2 hours 25 minutes by car

Mountains, villages and Lake Constance are all within easy reach – so your days can look completely different without having to change hotels.

Head straight out from Lingenau or take a short drive to discover another corner of the region. There are plenty of ways to spend an active day:

• hiking and mountain tours
• walking and themed trails around Lingenau
• cycling and mountain biking
• golf
• cable-car rides into the mountains
• day trips throughout the Bregenzerwald
• excursions to Bregenz and Lake Constance

Good to know: Stay for at least three nights between May and October and you’ll receive the Bregenzerwald Guest Card. It includes free use of participating cable cars and public buses in the Bregenzerwald.

Lingenau is also a great base for a winter holiday – particularly if you don’t want to limit yourself to just one ski resort.

Around the Bregenzerwald you can enjoy:

And afterwards? Head back to the Quellengarten and warm up in the pool or sauna.

A rental car gives you the most flexibility for exploring the Bregenzerwald and the Lake Constance region.
 

By train & bus

You can also reach us without a car:

• take the train to Dornbirn or Bregenz
• continue by public bus to Lingenau
• the bus stop is right by the hotel

The bus journey from Dornbirn or Bregenz takes around 40 minutes.

Yes. Our Quellenbad has a 25-metre indoor pool with a constant water temperature of 29.8°C and a separate children’s pool. From spring to autumn, you can also enjoy our heated outdoor pool with bubble loungers and a whirlpool corner.

Is there a sauna?
Yes. Our sauna area includes an outdoor log cabin sauna, bio sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, plunge pool and relaxation rooms.

What can I do at the hotel?
There’s plenty to do without even leaving the Quellengarten: swim in the 25-metre indoor pool, relax in the sauna or work out in the approx. 400 m² gym. From spring to autumn, you can also enjoy the heated outdoor pool.

Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely! Dogs are very welcome at the Quellengarten. On request, we’ll provide a dog bowl and blanket in your room. And with plenty of walking and hiking trails around Lingenau, there are lots of opportunities to head outside together.

Is Vitalhotel Quellengarten a good base for exploring the Bregenzerwald?
Yes. The hotel is located in Lingenau in the Bregenzerwald, with walking, hiking and cycling opportunities nearby. Mellau is around 20 minutes away by car, while Bregenz and Lake Constance are around 30 km away.

Is the Quellengarten a good choice for a winter holiday?
Yes. Lingenau is a convenient base for exploring different parts of the Bregenzerwald in winter. Skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing and tobogganing are all available in the region. Back at the hotel, you can relax in the indoor pool and sauna.

Can I arrive or depart outside reception hours?
Yes. Arriving or departing outside our reception hours is no problem. Simply contact us in advance so that we can arrange everything for you.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Your room is available from 2 pm on your day of arrival. We kindly ask you to check out by 10 am on your departure day.

Do I need a car?
Not necessarily. You can travel by train to Dornbirn or Bregenz and continue to Lingenau by bus. The bus stop is right by the hotel. A car does, however, give you more flexibility if you want to explore different parts of the Bregenzerwald and the Lake Constance region.
